| Irene Need was Ruth's sister from the east. She ended up with five kids, and Joan keeps up with them all. Can you believe how slender we all are! |

| Since I posted this a wildfire burned over this area. The fire fighters stopped it just short of the house we built at the top of the meadow. But I understand the chicken house and the little bunker in the backgroud of this pic are gone. |
